I haven’t done much quilting since… ever. But the idea of a unicorn quilt kind of makes me want to! My favorite of the examples in the post linked above was the one with the geometric background.

More because of the rainbow than a stereotypically girly infatuation with unicorns. My infatuations of choice growing up were typically just dolphins, jellyfish, and dragons. A jellyfish quilt would be pretty cool too… Those things are weirdly majestic. Heh, what were your favorite animals as a kid?

  1. My favourite animals were (and still are) giraffes, wolves and cheetahs. My favourite fantasy animal (besides the changeling equivalents) is Pegasus – who wouldn’t love a flying horse? Unicorns are pretty awesome too. I’ve always wanted to quilt…I want to sit in a circle with a crazy diverse bunch of fellow quilters and create as we put the world to rights 😉

  2. I was obsessed with horses. I started riding when I was five and from then on, all horses all the time. This led to an obsession with Pegasus, because what’s better than a horse? One that can fly, of course. LOL
