Daily Writing Progress #1

This post was inspired by the Daily Writing progress segment on Writing And Musing. And another thing: Growing Magic is my NaNoWriMo novel that I’m rewriting.

~

Sunday, January 10th

  • Project: Words of Wisdom blog post
    • Word Count: 798
  • Project: Growing Magic outline
    • Word Count: 219, finished ch. 15
  • Thoughts: I should look the blog post over again tomorrow, but it feels good to add more to the outline again.
  • Tomorrow’s Goal: Introduce W in Growing Magic.

Monday, January 11th

  • Project: Growing Magic outline
    • Word Count: 471, ch. 16
  • Project: Private journal entry
    • Word Count: 743
  • Thoughts: This 750words site could help me keep up a proper journal. (Oh no, is it a paid thing and I’m just on a 30 day trial…)
  • Tomorrow’s Goal: Add some of the bits with the witch that I’ve been musing on since relistening to A Hat Full Of Sky.

Tuesday, January 12th

  • Project: Growing Magic outline
    • Word Count: 661
  • Thoughts: Very happy about how this chapter is turning out.
  • Tomorrow’s Goal: Decide how to start the next section of the book, what to call it, what aspect of the story this part is going to deal with. The werewolf, maybe?

Wednesday, January 13th

  • Project: Words of Wisdom blog post edit
    • Word Count: 692
  • Project:
  • Thoughts: The blog post word count went down, but that’s fine. Before editing I wasn’t sure if I would be ready to post but I think it’s ready now.
  • Tomorrow’s Goal: Try writing just personal stuff, just to see the 750words stats for that day’s writing.

Thursday, January 14th

  • Project: Sappy 3 year anniversary poem
    • Word Count: 140
  • Project: Private journal entry
    • Word Count: 275
  • Project: Write an email to my relatives in Alaska
    • Word Count: Eh, doesn’t matter.
  • Thoughts: These stats (below)  are really interesting. I am definitely not an extrovert? And I wonder where it read  anxiety, upset, and religion, especially the latter. But I like the primary sense being touch and the focus being on the future.
  • Tomorrow’s Goal: Write a new cover letter and apply to that job. And maybe another chapter summary. Still have to figure out what the next section is. Still probably about the werewolf. Also, consider writing a horror story set in a restaurant, featuring a ghost breaking wine glasses.
